Pride Patch Patterns: December 2021

Text reading "pride patch patterns" against a grey grid background. The words pride and pattern are written in a black handdrawn/script font and outlined with white. The word patch is drawn pixel-style like a cross stitch pattern and filled in with the green/light green/white/grey/black stripes of the aromantic flag.

As I post weekly pride patch patterns on Patreon, here’s a monthly round-up for non-subscribers!

Three square five-stripe 15 x 15 block cross stitch pride flag patterns, set on a grey grid. Flags from left to right: the dark green/light green/white/yellow/gold allo-aro flag, the green gradient/black/grey/white caedromantic flag and the black triangle/white/green/light grey demiromantic flag.

Folks who need help with materials, stitching, finishing or attaching patches should check out my tutorial master page.

Previous patterns are available at my pattern gallery.

Notes on Pattern Structure

Full coloured blocks indicate a full cross stitch. Letter outlines indicate backstitch.

Blocks divided on the diagonal by a line of backstitch, each half a different colour, indicate quarter stitches. Please see my first text tutorial and my pride text tutorial for more information on backstitching outlines and placing quarter/fractional stitches.

Space for edging your patch is not shown in the patterns below. You’ll need to allow additional blocks for this when cutting your swatch, depending on how narrow or thick you like your edges.

A is for Apothi / C is for Caed Letter Patch Pattern – Eight x Ten Block

Two square cross stitch patterns with the letters "a" and "c" in lower-case lettering. Both designs have a black or dark grey background, with the letter placed in the centre of the patch, surrounded by a striped frame. Both letters and the frame are striped in the colours of the apothiromantic (dark green/white/black/white/red with black cross) and caedromantic (green gradient/black/grey/white) flags. Pattern is set on a light grey grid. Letters are outlined, indicating backstitch.

The 8 x 10 “A is for Apothi / C is for Caed” icon/frame patterns fit a square 20 stitches wide and 20 stitches high. Assuming a three stitch border, as for my other patches, this means you’ll want a 23 x 23 block swatch plus any excess (if used unmodified).

Aro-Ace / Ace-Aro Patch Patterns – Twelve Block, Lower Case

Aroace cross stitch patch pattern with the text aroace in lower-case pixel-style lettering, striped in the colours of the mint/white/purple/indigo aroace pride flag, with a green background. Pattern is set on a light grey grid. Letters are outlined, indicating backstitch, in lavender.
Aroace cross stitch patch pattern with the text acearo in lower-case pixel-style lettering, striped in the colours of the mint/white/purple/indigo aroace pride flag, with a green background. Pattern is set on a light grey grid. Letters are outlined, indicating backstitch, in lavender.

The four-stripe “aroace” and “acearo” patterns fit a rectangle 74 stitches wide and 16 stitches high. Assuming a three stitch border, as for my other patches, this means you’ll want a 77 x 19 block swatch plus any excess (if used unmodified).

Square Flag Patch Pattern – Five Stripe, Caed, Demi

Three square five-stripe 15 x 15 block cross stitch pride flag patterns, set on a grey grid. Flags from left to right: the dark green/light green/white/yellow/gold allo-aro flag, the green gradient/black/grey/white caedromantic flag and the black triangle/white/green/light grey demiromantic flag.

The 15 x 15 five-stripe, caed and demi square flag patterns fit a square 15 stitches wide and 15 stitches high. Assuming a three stitch border, as for my other patches, this means you’ll want an 18 x 18 block swatch plus any excess (if used unmodified).

Triple A Patch Pattern – Ten Block, Upper Case

Aro-Ace Agender cross stitch patch pattern with the text Triple A in upper-case block lettering, striped in the colours of the green/white/lime/white/violet aro-ace agender pride flag, with a dark green background. Pattern is set on a light grey grid. Letters are outlined, indicating backstitch, in light violet.

The five-stripe “triple a” pattern fits a rectangle 57 stitches wide and 14 stitches high. Assuming a three stitch border, as for my other patches, this means you’ll want a 60 x 17 block swatch plus any excess (if used unmodified).
